Readers lacked ways of unlocking quality content i.e Wattpad Originals without having to pay on the platform.The Offerwall is a third party Ad solution enabling readers to earn Bonus Coins that expire to unlock quality content and in-turn provided business revenue based on engagement.

Goal

Enable free readers a source to earn Coins that they could use towards reading quality content enabling engagement and kickstarting the Coin economy on the platform

Impact

• 34% conversion rate of users completing tasks and earning coins • Daily incremental revenue increaseed from $150 to $800 • Coin revenue increased by 266%

What I did in my role

• Led comprehensive analysis of Unity-Tapjoy dashboard functionality, evaluating technical parameters and integration potential to develop strategic implementation solutions for Wattpad's ecosystem. • Orchestrated cross-functional collaboration between Unity-Tapjoy representatives, Marketing, Product, and Design team to ensure alignment on integration objectives and execution standards. • Conducted thorough UX evaluation to identify optimal entry points for Offerwall implementation, culminating in evidence-based recommendations that secured leadership approval. • Executed design refinements to align the Offerwall interface with Wattpad's established brand language and design system, creating a cohesive and seamless user experience.

Enabling readers to earn Coins will inturn make them spend it towards Wattpad Originals enabling them to enjoy quality reading content on the platform satisfying them and thereby increasing business revenue.
